In 2013 Rich and a friend rode their jet skis from Moline, IL to the Gulf of Mexico, a 1,300 mile, six day trip, to raise over $15,000 for Children’s Miracle Network from generous donors. You can view photos and details of the trip on his website www.ToTheGulf.com. In addition to his busy real estate career Rich also loves to spend time with his family and friends, riding his jet ski, fishing, and traveling.   Rich will be a valuable asset to this trip having done a good portion of the trip before.

In the Summer of ‘02 Joe purchased a new Yamaha FX140 and the addiction has not stopped!  Riding PWCs has become a huge part of his life and he has meet most of his ‘framily’ (friends that have become family) because of it.  When Joe is not on his PWC he is camping in his tiny home or in transit to his next epic adventure.  Joe is also crew on a tall ship called “Kalmar Nyckel” she is homeported in Wilmington, Delaware which is where Joe also resides a few days a year.  On the rare occasion Joe doesn’t have any plans he is flight crew for a major airline.  A few of Joe’s favorite riding locations are: Lake Powell AZ, Colorado River from Lake Havasu to Laughlin NV, Smith Mountain Lake VA, Center Hill Lake TN, alligator trumping on the Kissimmee River FL, and the Tennessee River Gorge.  Joe is definitely reaping the benefits of sober living!

Bailey is the son of Rich Bassford and is a huge river enthusiast who has been riding skis with his dad since he was 2 years old. Bailey started riding on the tank of Richs ski and now at 17 years old and 6’4” he is a little too big for that and will be riding his own ski. Bailey is graduating from Alleman High School in Rock Island IL in May of 2018. When Rich did this trip in 2013 Bailey made him promise that someday they would do this trip together. 2018 is here and the reality of all of this coming together is overwhelming for both of them. Months of planning and prep work are coming together and this will surely be the father and son trip of a lifetime!
