Weekend Ride

Wow...what a ride on Saturday 04/25/09. We gathered at the boat launch just off of Jefferson, south of Crocker, across the street from Eddie's dine in. Craig Lapierre, Mike Labelle and myself decided to ride that day. The weather was picture perfect, with the exception of the 35 mph wind gust? However I'll take that and 80 degrees any day in April. We headed off into the lake, the machines were running great, the gear was feeling good, opened the throttle a bit and BAM>>>caught a wave an a mouth full of lake water. Hum...nice, Within 15 min Mike had lost a pair of googles, I lost my hat, googles filled with water and Craig, well he was still dry ??? As all good things come to an end, so does Craig being dry. Splash...

The waves were rolling about 2 to 3 ft, great for ski jumping and getting on the throttle. We toured the north end of the lake and cruised through the back country before stopping to a great place on the South Channel called         . Nice little stop off of the channel to fuel up and have a burger. A great place to sit outside and relax a bit before heading back in the cold water. We buzzed up the south channel, then straight across the open water. The lake seems a bit larger this time of year, and my legs are turning to rubber way to quick.

Overall a great day for testing new gear and getting the workout for the weekend. Sometimes we forget how much these machines will work you over.

Pictures coming soon. Check back in awhile on the pictures or Video spot. Craig took some great video.
